Description
Nowadays we use an enormous amount of Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) equipped domestic appliances, industrial electrical consumers etc. in our everyday life. These appliances can cause not only a DC shift in the AC Mains which leads to buzzy toroidal transformers (especially the power ones) but they also throw a great deal of RF hash which sneaks and disturbs the precious analogous networks of our audio equipment.
Here is proposed a fully finished and tested unit, assembled in aluminium case comprised by two sections – a New Gen (NG) of DC Blocker/Trap/Filter and a Common Mode Filter (CMF).

The DC trap section follows the concept for blocking up to 4.5V DC shift, successfully implemented in the DC Blocker Trap Filter – New Gen (NG) – Assembled in Case unit, expanding it with a new section similar to the EMI/RFI Filter
In order to preserve a thermal stability and to be insulated from any harsh environmental impact the heart of the unit – the New Gen DC Blocker & EMI/RFI Filter board is totally resin potted:
The other parts used in the unit are as follows:
– Lapp Kabel Olflex 2.5mm2 IN/OUT wires
– Schurter IEC power inlet with fuseholder
– High-quality AC Power outlet (Schuko, French, United States, United Kingdom, Brazilian, Australian/NZ types, Switzerland available)
– powder coated aluminium case
– 4 small rubber feet underneath the case.

The DC Blocker & EMI/RFI Filter NG is offered in 7 different variants of AC outlet – Standard European (German Schuko type), United States type, French type, United Kingdom type, Brazilian type, Australian/NZ type or Switzerland type.
A surge protection with 250V rated varistor and 10A fuse (Schurter Slow-blow type) are incorporated at the AC input.
All parts used are freshly obtained from reliable sources (Mouser, Farnell, Digi-Key etc.).
Note: Since some of AC outlet types are not widely used in Europe, please ask for availability before committing the order. Also, when completing purchase, note the type of AC Outlet you want to be used with the Blocker.
What the buyer will receive:
The package will contain 1 pcs. FULLY ASSEMBLED and tested DC trap/blocker & EMI/RFI filter New Gen (NG) for toroidal transformers (toroids) assembled in case.
The customer can choose between Priority AirMail Registered/DHL/FedEx or equivalent courier services where applicable. The tracking number will be sent to the customer after shipment.
